Hi, my name is jasmine. i'm 23 years old and i will be moving to houston, texas by october 2nd. I'm coming from detroit, mi with my boyfriend so he can start his new job. Me, however don't have a job. I am very unfamiliar with texas and this will be my 1st time leaving my hometown (including my daughter) to start a new beginning. Job hunting-i have 3-5 years in cashier positions and 1 year in housekeeping

Ged programs-i completed the 10th grade

College-I dont know what i want to go for and what colleges i should look at

Drivers license-where and how much

Places to shop, eat, and party-on most nites Me 7 my bf would love to get out the house and go to clubs, movie theatres, restaurants

buying my 1st car-where i can get one, how much, and how many mileage

Houston is an easy place to get around but I hope your boyfriend is getting a place near where he works.

Jobs are pretty easy to get in Houston. It has one of the healthiest economies in the nation. Once you get here you can look nearby. No point in looking across town if you can get one nearby.

There is a Houston, Tx thread on Mingle2 that discusses some fun things to do but it isn't very active.

Actually, were looking at the aspenwoods apartments; that is like 3-6 mins away from his job at hostgator. we plan on moving in together; so i want to be helpful by getting a job so i can help him.
