In India, the dogs that are house pets are mostly vegetarians, because
they don't have dog food. So it's okay, it won't hurt him. Chocolate
will kill them, but veggies are okay.

My German Shorthair used to go wild for corn. We would husk it out in
the backyard, and she'd run by and steal the bag with all the husks,
looking for corn. When she realized there wasn't any, she'd go and try
to grab the unhusked corn cobs from the table.

The only other time I saw her go that crazy over food was when we had a
raw turkey out on the counter on one Thanksgiving.

I miss her.

Veggies won't hurt dogs, it could give em diarhea if they ate too much
and aren't used to it, but they probably won't eat that much. I had a
dog that would eat tomatoes off the vine. Another one that would eat
flowers if you held one out to him.

My dalmation loved carrots and even ate brussel sprouts and salad,
tomatoes.

Don't give them onions though - they are toxic. Chocolate is toxic too.

But veggies are good for them.

Corn is supposed to make them itch though.

Having fun dragging up old stuff Wes?!

Carrots are fine for the dogs, it's onions one has to worry about. low doses are fine, but high doses can shut the kidneys down. Garlic falls under the onion family, but short of allergies, dogs don't usually have issues with it.

Friends on the RAW diets feed brussel sprouts, carrots, peppers, tomatoes, corn, cucs, etc. Heck, my gang will eat saurkraut... no accounting for taste! LOL

From what I've recently learned, grapes are very toxic to dogs.
