If you left click on other items in that toolbar, do they all work fine?
The forward button? How about using ALT-leftArrow ? Does that work? |

it does not give me the address of the site i am at
on the nav bar neither |
|

Adj, have you noticed whether this happens always at particular sites,
and never at other sites? The 'back' button problem, as was posted above, might be due to the code on the site you visit. Also, maybe this has something to do with a buggy 'extension'? |

Maybe wrong but it maybe an idea. I would wait for Massages opinion on
it first before going ahead and doing it. But what about a deleting it completely. And then using a registry cleaner just to get rid of it and to make sure it is not running in the background and then restarting your computer, re-download it and restart your computer one more time? |
|
|
|
does it all the time
deleted it reinstalled redeleted reinstalled older version older version worked older version crashed uninstalled again installed most resent version back button not working address of existing page does not appear in address bar |
|
|
|
Deleteing a program does not delete ALL the program. It still in the
back ground. Maybe in the back ground as an un used file but but for the most part it is still there. |

saying good by to firefox

made a new user account on comp and now it is working
weird really weird but not on original acct |
|
|
|
Okay, if you really want it to work in your original acct, I would google some instructions on 'completely wiping all traces of firefox' and do the 'delete and reinstall process' all over again.
The fact that its working in a second account suggests to me that the reason 'delete-and-reinstall' didn't work in the original acct is that there is -some- kind of setting, or file, or something left over from the previous version, not successfully wiped during the delete, which the newly installed version just inherited. It remains unclear to me whether this problem might have been related somehow to an extension / add on. |

>> which the newly installed version just inherited.
And which, of course, is absent in the new account. |

well i talked to a friend of mine that
is an it guy at a local college he asked if there was a power fluctuation (yes lost power) his opinion in the power lose firefox became corrupted (and yes as your theory) corrupted copy infiltrates new reinstalls don't understand why restore did not work but oh well new acct is fine thankz for the help |

Firefox sucks.
Really. But there's no other good browser on the Windows platform. Thank god for safari. |

Did you try the software repair wizzard?
It takes you back in time to when it worked properly. |
