Isn't the first of September an odd time to have October Fest? Wouldn't that make it a September Fest?......... 
All I now is that in former USSR, the Big October revolution celebrated in November. I thought that was weird too. That's really all I can comment on this subject. Nothing surprises me anymore. Happy Thanksgiving on Halloween, everyone!
