Lemme' see.
For one, it's good to see some are leaving. To be stationed where is anyones guess.

Says, most of the 4,000 are leaving now.

50,000 are staying. But, not for combat.
Won't they have guns?
Will they be like the illusive NG guarding the border, unarmed?

Wanna' bet, after the Nov. election, reinforcements will be sent back in?

KHABARI CROSSING, Kuwait — A U.S. military spokesman says the last American combat brigade is leaving Iraq.

Capt. Christopher Ophardt, spokesman for the 4th Stryker Brigade, 2nd Infantry Division, says the last of the unit's vehicles were crossing the border into Kuwait early Thursday.

America's combat role in the country ends on Aug. 31. Most of the brigade's 4,000 soldiers have been driving out of Iraq in their armored vehicles. A few hundred members stayed behind to finish administrative and logistical duties but will fly out of Baghdad later Thursday.

About 50,000 troops will stay in Iraq until the end of next year.

Fox news has it posted that the remaining troops will be armed for their protection. They are there as a supportive role and will only assist the Iraqui Military on raids or combat related situations when asked.

Also it said that there will be Special Forces in the area continuing to catch High Value Targets. Those arn't combat troops? If they arn't I don't know what it. This is just more smoke and mirrors from a not so masterful magician Obama.

They're still in Kuwait ... they haven't been re-deployed Stateside, and probably WON'T be. In all likelihood, they'll remain in Kuwait 'til the election's over and then be re-deployed to the 'stan - or back to Iraq ... say 'smoke and mirrors' ...

The smartest move would be send them to Afganistan, that's where they are needed.
