Sorry, but if this anti-meat propaganda 'hit piece' were ever to be shown to young schoolchildren, it would be the most vile form of CHILD ABUSE possible. What kinda sick mofo would want to expose CHILDREN to this crap ... ? The O/P is obviously NOT a parent  Wrong, I raised a son as a single parent...one day (5th grade) he came home with a "Beef, it's what's for dinner" sticker on his shirt. I called the school and asked if I or a Vegan group could present an alternative presentation. They sharply said, "NO!" This is yet another example of an industry being allowed to trash our health, pollute our environment, and misinform people for their profits. Bull! this is about irresponsibility, and tramatizing children who are too young to be discerning. If you choose to be Vegan thats your call however, Dont inflict choice on children who dont understand the concept of the choice they are making. Its sad really, The only time I think we actually NEED meat is as young children. Geez, WHERE did I say that I wanted to traumatize children Thanks to the other posters who like to think for themselves instead of attacking the OP because they feel they have to defend their choices...it's America so it's about CHOICES. However, between the ages of 2 to 20 I, believe that small amounts of meat are essential to healthy development. I think its something we need less of as we age in fact. No-one attacked your character, In fact I applaude and support your right to make choices. Dont make it into that. However you would show that video to MY child in school over MY dead body. What humans need is protein which can be had from beans. Again, I never said that grade school aged kids should see this clip but the point I was making is that they also should NOT be subjected early on that Red Meat is a "healthy choice" (for their protein needs) by an industry that has only profits in mind over the health and welfare of our society. Red meat makes peope fat, it's production is highly polluting, and there's no valid reason to keep pushing it's consumption with lies ...especialy to children. |

In High School, were were young adults. The only time we were referred to as impressionable children was in Elementary School. All the references as to who should see this vid. are being made to children. The only youngsters who could be "scared straight" are grade school kids. |

So then should fish be nixed also? Poor things just swiming along looking for something to eat, when all of a sudden a hook has pierced their mouth. Trying to swim away franticaly, while the whole time being yanked by the line attached to the hook. I can only imagine the horror going through the minds of the poor fish. then when finally brought in the boat being frozen alive in a cooler full of ice, or put in a torture chamber(live well) till brought out and having their throats slit.
