There's a leather awl that you can get but you have to know how to start it. When you pierce the fabric leave one long end on the other side so as you pierce the next hole down the line you will form a loop. Pass the thread that you left long on the other side through and pull both tightly to form a stitch.
Try this URL:

Good luck.

You can try the tape or using the awl but sometimes the awl takes a while to get used to working with it and if the bag is plastic it might just rip further.....your best bet would be get a cheap one.

(Using the tape might get you thrown out of the golf courseslaugh  )

ummm u obviously don't know the first rule of shopping. The best deals are at the end of the season. since it's near the end of ur golf season, there is no better time to find a golf bag. So buying a new one now at a great "end of the season" sale price is much smarter than wasting good drinking time "hoping" that you can fix the one u have and not make a mess of it, and THEN, after all of that, buy a new one prolly at full price at the beginning of next season.

I get all of my designer shoes, suits and purses at the end of the season, and over the last several yrs it's saved me literally hundreds of dollars.

geez, I thought everyone knew thisslaphead
