I started the season off with a taylormade XD it was great for a beginner i haven't shot in a few years....i hit it about 240

kinda crappy ...

then about 2 1/2 months ago i got a taylormade tour burner 9.5 stiff i liked it it's a beast i putting it about 270 ...with a pro-v of course..

tonight i got a taylormade r7 9.5 i somehow managed talking my buddy (the pro) into pureing the shaft ...where gonna go dial it in tomorrow (it's adjustable) ....i hoping to put this baby at least 300 !!

what do you hit ...? the superfast burner looked tempting to ..

I have a basic line of 775.CB Titleist irons.

I only play a full 18 holes twice to three times a month but I go to the driving range at least twice a week.

I love to golf. It's been awhile. I have a set of Mizuno metal woods I have played with for a long time......

I still have my old Ping Zings & a Big Bertha Driver that I won in a best ball tournament.

i prefer steel in my irons ..

im not good enough to hit the the graphite yet

even though my 6-9 are usually try stay in the steel

i play the ping irons to

ping putter as well ...

toss up was to get the callaway diablo just went on sale

but i hit the burner good so i figured id stay taylor

I am sure that would be entertaining if nothing else. I imagine if I hit my driver now. I would hit it 200yds down the fairway and 100yds to the right.......

i play with two guys alot ...

the ony guy i play with is about 5:1 160 pounds and he hits it like-180 200 yards

then my best friend is pga tour pro he shoots like high 60's

hes puttin it like 330 on a down slope par 5

so it's like one extreme to another

i shoot about meh 90ish on a desent day

i beat the pro sunday but he gave me 3 stokes a hole

I prefer balls that reduce spin, have long drivability and the 'ol drop and stop ability. Either the Titleist Pro V1x or the NXT Tour are my fave balls. I have a buddy who uses the new Solos and he loves them. I might have to give them a try.

I suck BTW but I took lessons and I know equipment and the "how to's". I need practice and patience! I drive really well but my putting game sucks. I can drive 160-180 yards average off the tee. My roll is only about 5-8 yards.

I wish i could play pro iv1's ...but i do hit the ball consistent 270 but it's not always guaranteed to go strait so i hate putting expensive *** golf balls in the woods ..or OB

so i play Bertha's off the drive (alot cheaper) ..then when i get to the green i drop a pro iv1 down to putt with (which is not aloud in regulation) but my buddies don't care

So far I haven't lost any or I pick up others thinking they are mine. I need all of the help I can get and they help me drive straight! Watch it - now I'll jinx myself.

i love my taylormade driver, but i play nike irons.....240 to 260 off the tees.

all i try to do is get to my p/wedge as quickly as possible and rely on the short game to keep scores manageable. the places i play, if you are ten feet off of the fairway you are in trouble, trees can kill a scorecard before you know what even happened to you.

well i played with my r7 today...and...well ..yup nothing no improvement off the tee still about 270

but the plastic was still on it ..because i haven't decided i want it yet i feel that had to make a difference ..


so im going for a fitting now ...to see if i really want it . i wanna hit a demo that has no plastic on it ..this one was brand new...

plus he has to pure it (he never got around to it) and fit it ..so im hoping it goes a little farther it i mean it almost has to right ?
