I think you should leave it alone.
Let her work it out for herself.

hahahaha : )

You have a dirty dirty mind Ladylid.

haha, ya think??? laugh

Actually 'most' men are not cut. It's right around 50/50 these days. Maybe the age group, say around 35/40 and up but it is not as commonly done as most think it is. It is an unnecessary thing..it is only done for cosmetic reasons, there are NO health reasons for it to be done. When a boy learns to wash himself properly there are no health hazards at all. You would all be very surprised how many young men have not had this done.

Judeo-Christian. God commanded Abraham to circumcise himself, then his sons.

I'm from Illinois and all but one man I've ever known has been "cut". So I guess it depends on where you are from if you should tell her or not!

Well look at the age groups...I only know one man around my age who is not 'cut.' When you see (not literally) the under 40 crowd you find not as many have had it done. Because of the ages of my 3 sons I know many young men from early 30's down to 17 and I was really surprised just how many of them are not 'cut.'

Now think about the term being used here.. "cut". That says a lot in itself. Also I think that any mother who feels this is necessary..should at least go and watch it being done. Is not so easy to see. 'They' say it's dead skin and the baby doesn't feel it...
bullshiit!!!

That's a fact snuff...some barbaric tradition handed down for ions and society is conditioned to think it must be done..without even knowing facts. Parents just do it because 'every body is doing it' and they don't even know why their doing it. Then females are conditioned to believe that a man MUST be cut or his penis is less than another mans.
Such silly-ness I feel...

The domestication of humanity....don't ask questions, don't learn, just do what everyone else is doing.

This wasn't suppossed to be a biblical debate or pro-anti circumcision topic, but at this point I feel that I should break down the biblical scope, from my small understanding. The only way a non-Jewish person can come into the Jewish tribe is to convert to the God of David and be circumcised if they are a male like the rest of the Jewish men. This doesn't mean only circumcised people go to Heaven. This just means that when God seperates his flocks, his chosen people who are stated in the Bible to be Jewish, can be easily assimiliated into as long as any man is willing to put himself through what a Jewish man went through.

According to reports, uncut is smelly and dirty, and unfortunately, are responsible for a higher chance of spreading STDs. I did a short midterm on this issue in the mid-90s for a modern sexuality class.

Not every guy is uneducated on cleansing and hygiene; unfortunately, when comparing notes with my girlfriends who have been with uncut men, they say it's all bad though.

I can’t imagine the process being any different than getting our tonsils out. I’m sure anesthetic is used and proper tools - unlike centuries ago.

I’m thankful I don’t have to worry since I don’t want kids but for his health, the health of his future partners and to avoid being ostracized, or sexually rejected, I would get a boy circumcised.

From what I have recently heard, the only reason younger generations are not getting it done is that insurance won't cover the proceedure.

A nice, big circumcised unit is sexy too! (sorry – that is my ridiculous comment) slaphead

Not true Melody..I have researched this for a very long time because I am the mother of boys. It is not dirty, smelly and has NOTHING to do with the spread of STD's.
It is all based on biblical traditions not medical facts...

I can only base my opinions on the research I did for my paper and the interviews I did with women. I have no personal knowledge.

I agree. After interviewing the women who have had experiences in this area, it made me want to run screaming. The medical research I did also made me cringe. I also know that the hygiene horror stories are not fact for every man.

I don't make generalizations but I do think about it for my sexual health. I don't want to wrap my partner in cellophane! laugh

oops Sorry Snuff offtopic

I have to mention that I am glad I was circumcised and consider myself lucky that I was circumcised when I was a baby, and am quite proud of what I was left with, yet I'm sure that a uncircumcised fella is probably just as proud of what he has.

I have dated someone who was uncircumcised and he was never smelly or dirty. No issues with STDs, ever. So, as long as they know how to be clean, there's no problem.

Should I tell women when I meet them that I'm circumcised, or should I save that one for the first date.
well its easier to shoot on the forehead w/o foreskin
