Hey all...Did you se Noah pass by? All of the kids finally have their 3 feet of water sucked out BUT ANOTHER storm tonight and tomorrow dumping LOTS of rain Might be bad too cuz they said storm chasers were ascending on Iowa for this next front 42 inches of rain now...no wonder Noah is showing up!!! Iowa State University had 10 feet of water in their gym...second time it has been completely ruined. That city also lost their water and won't have any till next week. All the roads to Ames were closed so they could not get in or out. Ames is about 30 minutes north of me. Des Moines, especially my side of town, got hit very hard. Lots lost electricity, their homes...it's awful. The sewers were so over loaded that it backed up in their homes...Joey got 3 feet, the other kids not so bad. Othr than it staying 107- 110 every stinking day, I've been good Tell me again how great Iowa is!!!! Well Jayne, we know they're way hotter than we are, they are quite willing to share the humidity with us & have more water than we do. Want to go out there? I think it would be better for them to come here!

Tim, did I thank you for your puter help the other nite? If I didn't---Thanks! what did I do? You gave me the links to the filehippo anti-virus & defrag sites. no worries, did you find anything you liked? Haven't been there yet. You did say that these are free downloads? Hope so!

going to the Fair Mary? I see that green eggs and ham is 50 today and they made the butter sculpture for it I wasn't going to, but Paula is taking me next Friday cuz Sly and the Family Sone is at the Bud Stage and she knows how I love to rock out to them...sweet daughter, huh? Did you see me as a Butter Sculpture on FB?

There is a family that makes life sized schulptures of a cow every year at the fair...over the years it has become a tradition....long as I can remember....and they add otheer schulpturs too, last year was the moon landing, this year, Dr. Suess. It was just announced that The IOWA State Fair is on the top 100 list of things to see before you die....quite an honor!!!!!

There is a family that makes life sized schulptures of a cow every year at the fair...over the years it has become a tradition....long as I can remember....and they add otheer schulpturs too, last year was the moon landing, this year, Dr. Suess. It was just announced that The IOWA State Fair is on the top 100 list of things to see before you die....quite an honor!!!!! thats a nice way to put it

Remember that I told you guys about the children's writer's conference that I was going to? If I didn't, I'm sorry. It ended today & was soooooo disappointing. Oh, it was online. They didn't have decent workshops set up or anything. I attend another online one in October that's really neat! It lasts a whole week & you actually learn something! You rub elbows with publishers, editors & professional authors. Even get to talk to them!

I was hoping for the regular workshops with the expert instructors & all. The do that in the other conference I go to so I know it can be done. Oh well, I won't bother with it next year...for sure!
