Why is it that everyone I talk to on here thinks I should be able to post my picture online? If they want to see a picture of me all they need to do is tell me where to mail it to.

I've heard some express the opinion that "If they don't have a pic up, they must be hiding something." I think that's a little too much of a blanket statement, personally, but you'll run across that a lot.
Personally, I wouldn't contact someone who didn't have a pic up and ask for one. I just don't feel it's my job to go hunting it down. Bottom line is if you don't feel the need to post a pic, there's nothing wrong with that. Lots of people don't post pics. I think the statistics are pretty clear that people with pics up get more views, more attention, and probably more messages on a site like this one, but not everyone here is looking for those things. |

I'm not interested in "hunting" down someone for their pic. I take time to post pix and develop a profile; it's the least a member can do when joining a dating site.
I don't necessarily believe a person is trying to hide something by not posting pix but there are too many members who do post pix and I'll pass on those that don't (and not waste my time). I don't want to spend time getting to know a person only to get a picture later and find they are not my type (physically). |

If someone does not want to post a picture, that's fine. However, I will not give out additional contact information for pictures. If it's an issue of not having a computer and only being able to use your phone, stop by a friend's house and use their computer for the few minutes it takes to put up a picture or two. If you really want to meet people online, that's probably what you'll have to end up doing.

People aren't so keen on handing out their email address or phone number to someone they have never spoken to before. I don't understand the comment about not having the right equipment to post a picture online. You're online posting aren't you?

I don't understand the comment about not having the right equipment to post a picture online. You're online posting aren't you? I'm guessing he does not use a computer, which is why he's having trouble. That's why I suggested using someone else's computer to upload a picture or two if he was actually serious about meeting people here. And that's exactly it about the email address/phone number thing. I'm not giving that info out just because a stranger wants to email/text a photo. |

Even a picture of a cat will get you more views than no picture.
No picture just looks like you cant be bothered and you arent serious about being here. |

it's all a game... it's easier to play if you post a pic tho. Hmm? I don't think of this as a game. I take it seriously and I avoid those that view Mingle as a game. |

I don't know of any phones that get internet but don't have a camera. He has the camera, he can get to a computer. |

I view it like a game in a way, but you cant forget you are mingling with real people. You also met a really great person here so your reasons for being on Mingle are a little different. We love it when you grace us with your sparkling personality, Dan! |

I view it like a game in a way, but you cant forget you are mingling with real people. yea, everybody is different... i try not to take things to seriously, makes life harder than it needs to be. i just agree with him about the pic posting, i don't think it's that important. but a lot of people need visuals just to talk with someone... to each their own. |

Not taking things so seriously is different than playing games. If you're willing to meet people who don't post pictures, that's up to you. Others are not. |
