Today would have been my father's 62nd birthday. He died of lung and
brain cancer on march 7th. I miss him so much.

The point of this thread is to let everyone know to make sure they tell
their parents how much they love them because you never know when they
will be gone.

awwww, so sorry to hear that. losing a loved one is sooo hard!!! u and
ur family are in my thoughts and prayers.

My brother died on the 9th, I know how you feel. Need to let people

i feel ur pain, lost all my familly too my dad(aids) 3 days b4 my b-day
my grandpa(natural costs) 3 days after, n my mom (a car accident made
her develope alsimers) just b4 my daughter was born

I just had one of my sad days the other day , my Dad was supposed to
turn 74 on fathers day , he died of multiple cancers as well ...
My Mom died last year ....
and when they are both gone......
those days are so sad and empty with out them .
most days are sad and empty with out them ,
its just not the same any more ...
never will be

LL -- these anniversaries can be tough; they tend to bring back a lot of
memories, good and bad, sometimes some regrets (you know the type, the
"Why didn't I tell him....?" sort of thing, if you never got to say
things that needed to be said, resulting in the "lack of closure," which
sounds like a cliche but is so totally real) --

My dad died of lung cancer -- we were never close (quite the contrary)
but at least we managed to hash it out a few days before he died. I am
thankful for that -- one less "shoulda" hanging over me....

Your dad was fortunate to have you as his daughter and I do believe he
would be very proud of the person you are today.

Lost my husband (shot in cold blood), lost my Mom (lung cancer), all my
Grandparents (natural causes), my son (Dr.s mistake)..But I cherish the
memories I have, and know they are happy. Yes, please let them know how
much you love them always.
