Frazzled and frayed at the cuffs
So soft and warm
Bulky and heavy
So comforting when needed
So many washings has turned it sort of grey
But every time I put it on its like a hug from him
Remembering when it was given to me
I was just a girl and it went down to my knees
Sleeves went on for miles or so it seemed
When he would work those long nights I would wear it to bed
When I was sick its all I wanted
Even now I still wear it
It fits much better
Still its my Daddy's fisher mans sweater

Just wanted to tell you that a good poem

My dad died when i was 12 so your poem
brought tears to my eyes.
