embarassed Guilty of re-gifting, but it was because I was out of funds to get a gift so I grabbed one that I received and hadn't used (unopened box) and wrapped it up.

Also was the recipient of a re-gifted item....I could tell because it was missing parts and was broken.

My family started doing that with a kitchen apron that looks like a pair of fishing waders and an oven mitt shaped like a fish.

It is hard for someone to re-gift to me, since I make the gifts I give. For example baby showers get polar fleece snuggles with feetsies to fit in the car seat. Christmas, I make stained glass items. Weddings, a quilt. See, hard to give back something I make.

I don't regift, but have received from the grandmothers. I think senility accounts for that, so its not a big deal.

My boss gave me a pair of crafted earrings. Kinda nice, i wore them 2x, and the second time a woman comes up to me and says : where did you get those, I made them? oops I was nervous about telling her then she said, you must have gotten them from a craft fair here, I do alot of those. My boss had told me that they had been a gift to her but she didn't wear drop earrings.

Used to re send a Christmas card back and forth between my ex and I. But stopped. The way the postal service raises the cost of stamps each year. Cost more to send the card, than what it cost. Cheaper just to buy a new one.
