I don't see what the big deal about this symbol is, it is a ancient symbol that has so much more meaning religiously than what Hitler did. The swastika (from Sanskrit svastika) is an equilateral cross with its arms bent at right angles, in either right-facing form or its mirrored left-facing form. Archaeological evidence of swastika-shaped ornaments dates from the Neolithic period. It occurs today in the modern day culture of India, sometimes as a geometrical motif and sometimes as a religious symbol; it remains widely used in Eastern and Dharmic religions such as Hinduism, Buddhism and Jainism. This was also used by the Norse which is why Hitler used it, he believed they were the pure aryan race. I being Odinic do not find this symbol offensive in the slightest when in its original form as a religious symbol, as far as the swastika goes its just some crooked lines. |

Naked gal: When I was in Britain, I was stunned to see a lack of porn and 'adult' book stores. It also was my understanding, based on my conversations with the natives, that, as a country, we are generally perceived as promiscuous. So I get that. Mickey mouse: Represents consumerism to me. speaks for itself. Swastica: Ya, we have a good many, er, 'groups' who seem to adopt that symbol in the name of reclaiming what they beleive is their beloved 'America'. So im not surprised here either. you forgot about the pink background... too many homo's - other counties don't see it the same as what some do here. |

What is really funny is there is an Italian soccer club called S.S. Lazio.. The crest on the jersey is very similar to the Nazi Eagle.
Their fans are always getting barred from the stadium for displaying Nazi flags and the players for giving the Mussolini fascist salute after they score a goal. Yeah... an Italian comparing us to Nazis... yeah... |

that depiction is so unfair,,,,,we don`t GAS our CITIZENS like the nazis did, sheesh, wtf. but, of course, we can`t be fairly judged by the rest of the world, they are influenced by popular opinion, and their press,,,,,very much like WE are by ours. eeek, a serious topic that i`d like to avoid!
