I don’t find it empowering regardless if a guy compliments me or acts like a perverted azzz. I thank the sincere compliments and delete the inappropriate comments; however, I don’t seem those actions as validation. I feel empowered when a person recognizes me for my intelligence and accomplishments. It gets old when guys ask for nude pix or if I want to call him for phone sex.  I'm not jaded though. A few perverted apples don't ruin the whole tree. They just fall off and rot on the ground. 
Agreed, I do not find it empowering per say but I can't deny that I enjoy a respectful compliment. |

Not empowering at all to be seen as a sex object,,,,especially since so many males can view most ANYTHING as a sex object!
