why do people think we are not part of nature? we were born into nature, just like every other living thing on this planet. the only difference is we have the ability to reason things out, where most other animals act on impulses and instinct. nature is more brutal, but it also more fair, because there is no prejudice with it. young, old sick, healthy, color or species has no bearing on it. nature is the ultimate fairness, and the most brutal at the same time.

YES..we are ALL a part of nature, we are all one..we move in, through and out of cycles with nature. a womans 28 day cycle as the moon for instance...many others.
Hell, the only time I feel 'normal' is when I'm hiking and climbing around in nature.
The difference is most don't understand our nature connection, 'we' in general are not good stewards to the that which sustains us.
Animals, plants all have their instinctual way of being..'man' however has knocked nature off course with his behaviors..man made disasters.
Hence.. an oil flow from the belly of the planet that can't be stopped..man is much more selfish and brutal!

it will heal, nature always wins.

mother earth will win..even if she has to lose the cancer (us) that plagues her...

That's what I'm thinking. I think we balance each other out.
