Would it be too much to ask for the opening paragraph of your first book, which would essentially be an introduction to your philosophy?

Well this is a really strange thing. I'm writing the series in reverse. I know that sounds ludicous, but it actually seems to be the best way to go about it. The first book of the series contains information that a person needs to know after they finish all three books. However, at the same time, it is indeed information that they can use in a very producitive and constructive way even if they never read the second two books. The first book will be useful as a stand-alone book. A person may not fully understand why it works and what they are doing, but the bottom line is that it will work. And in that sense it is useful and practical information.

The first book of the series is called "The Labyrinth Garden Path".

The information you request will appear in the Prologue of this book. I haven't written it yet. But I do have a basic idea of what needs to be said there. To give it to you a heads up, my basic philosophy is that life is created by consciousness. The basic fundamental idea is that everything ultimately arises from consciousness (not the other way around as many secularists believe). So the basic thesis is that understanding conciousness is of utmost importance. The entire three-book series is focused on how to better understand consciousness. Not just the secular idea of a conscious brain, but in a spiritual sense of divine consciousness (i.e. it's basically a description of Eastern Myscism put into a western format)

In the first chapter (the one following the prologue), I speak in detail to the scientific 'justification' for this view. Not in any attempt to 'support' this view using science, but to show that this view is clearly compatible with all known scientific knowlege in the world today (as of 2010 anyway). In fact, it probably will continue to be compatible with modern science unless Quantum Mechanics can be shown to be false.

From there I think the chapter titles alone give you an idea of where the book is heading.

These are the nine opening Chapters:

Prologue
Secular Scientific Spirituality or Wishful Dreams?
The Science and Art of Magickal Manifestation
Mysteries, Mythologies, and the Tao
The Qabalah as a Consciousness Map
The Planet Gods, Goddesses, and Seraphs
The Zodiac as a Divine Guide for All
The Tarot and the Journey of the Fool
The Labyrinth Garden Path

The following 47 "Chapters" contain "The Labyrinth Garden Path", some of these will be quite lenthy, others will be a very brief description consisting of only a page or two. The final Chapter "Enter the Magick Circle" is basically an introduction to the second book of the series. Although, in truth, the Magick Circle doesn't truly appear until the third book. But that's another story.

The 47 chapters of "The Labyrinth Garden Path":

Enter the Magick Circle

* Note: The actual Labyrinth Garden Path leads directly into the central circle. All of the above archetypes reside along the path in the order described above. So at the end of this path a person finds themselves standing in the center of the Magick Circle. The second two books explain the significance of the Magick Circle, and how it is used to bring psychic desire into the world of physical manifestation.

It sounds like you have it worked out pretty well, ready to be presented to a publisher. Have you?
