I was curious and will start this after I had seen a topic on here called topless.
Why is it some women complain they cant go topless in public? In New York and Ontario it is legal under an equal rites law. I find it interesting that they can do it, but none have the guts to follow thru, yet complain about it.
Come on ladies, show them boobs off in public.

WOW!!! Didnt know it was legal for women to go topless in NewYork. MMMMMMMMM I'm due to move pretty soon. Have to check out the prices of apartments in NewYork.

Because while there may be laws allowing it, it doesn't mean the women feel like its necessary. There's also the lack of a feeling of safety from being harassed, pestered, or even stared at by men. The catcalls are bad even when fully dressed much less if the weren't wearing a shirt.

If you are getting cat calls be glad you are not one of those women who don't get them at all.

Many choose to call those women Aesthetically challenged!

Besides, so many women run around with their "Tails" in the air until one of us dogs comes sniffing and suddenly they are "Tail Draggers."

Sorry but sex is part of the human condition. If women get pissed at us men looking maybe they should go live in a convent or mosque!

Quite frankly I wouldn't want women to freely walk around in public topless. I have a feeling it would be kind of like driving through any residential neighborhood and seeing all the flabby old men working in the yard with their shirts off. The thought of topless women everywhere sounds great but I can assure you the ones that you would see baring it all...well you just don't want to see baring it all. I'll stick to the strip clubs for my topless women viewing needs.

Sorry Andy, I disagree. I find it disrespectful. Its great to look and appreciate but I've found them to be derogatory rather then appreciative.

The jokes about a sheet and bag aren't really so funny when you realize that Muslim women are made to wear burkas and such because they "tempt" men into a loss of control. That it not an excuse!

I don't know about this topic...lol. I mean yeah it would be cool to have the freedom to be able to be topless during certain situations without getting thrown in jail but not sure just how much I would utilize that freedom?

Plus...it seems like it would...ok not real sure how to say this without sounding stupid but..totally take away from the mystique (???) and allure of women's boobs? I mean come on...let's face it...they are one of the most awesome things about being a woman!? If they became an everyday thing to everyone, then where is the fun in that? Some things are just better left as is I think....

After all...I've actually heard people that have nude beaches say that they are no big deal. You get desensitized to all the boobs, p*ssies and d*cks being out there all the time!? That seems like it takes ALL the fun out of it to me? I'd rather leave a little to the imagination and have fun in the discovery process!

I love going to topless beaches or nude beaches but that is in context wherein "when in Rome" applies.

To randomly walk around topless for no apparent reason doesn't seem realistic. I don't know that it's even "practical" for men either; however, that is another topic. Women wear a top (of some kind) all the time and never feel so hot in body temperature that they need to take it off - as men do - which is why I question the reasonableness of being topless even for men. I think men taking their shirts off is just a macho thing. Don't get me wrong - it can be hot if the guy has a hairless chest and a six pack but it's not necessary.

I maintain women being topless in the appropriate places as an equal right. I strongly disagree that a topless woman is deemed as being nude. To me, nudity is only below the belt (with both genders). That being said, being appropriately dressed to avoid potential unsuitable reactions trumps most other arguments.

Breasts are just mammary glands used to feed. They aren’t even a sexual organ. I don’t particularly like seeing a woman breast feeding in public either. It should be a private function.

It’s admirable for people to have a cause; however, at the end of the day, not always do the causes require a person to compromise their safety or dignity.

I'll do you one better. If any of you ladies feel the need to do some nude sun bathing or something you can borrow my east lawn. I don't have a neighbor for a mile on either side of me, and no one will see you.

Unfortunately for us guys, the ones who would most likely be booby-bearing in public are the ones who've already showed that they're okay with wearing Spandex and showing us exactly where they hide all that cellulite ... there are some fashion items that were never designed to be worn at 350 lbs ...

I was wearing spagetti strapped shirt last night because it was so hot, and still have serious pain due to nerve injury in last surgery. There is also alot of numbness on my skin in both areas. It was late, and my neighbor came home from work. She is 57. She says, don't wear that shirt! you're revealing everything (2 scar lines). the shirt had slid down and you could see partial scars, but it was dark and about 9pm
I said who is going to see? And I really don't care if it makes someone uncomfortable, esp if i see them in a walking past thing once or twice a year. My comfort at this point is more important.
So ya just can't win, boobs or not.
