I may, a big factor would be where he lives. Some parts of the country I don't think I'd want to live in.

wouldn't someone who is right for you also have to be right for your kids??? in that case i see no problems relocating, but if it's to find out whether or not someone is right for you that's a completely different story

Yes, they would have to be right for my child, and it would take a while before they ever met...and I agree with the other being a totally different story

I have two kids myself........oh the child issue. Bottom line...if the kids aren't happy...it's not happening. So many factors to think about. Great question girl.

Children need stability. It doesn't matter how right the person is....the kids should not be moved from their home.

I'm in the middle of relocating now. Not for anyone but myself, but you never know.

Kind of torn on that one.....

Initially my heart says yes...cause for real love it would be worth it..even if it wasn't the place I call my home.

but, (there always seems to be a "but")...I feel an obligation to stay close to my parents as they age and thier bodies are beginning to fail them. My brother is half the country away to be with his children and my sister is a couple hundred miles away. After all the crap my parents put up with from me as a kid...I really want to be there for them now that they could use a hand. My Mom tells me "We will be fine...we want you to have a life too"....

Unfortunately, as I think about it...I would not move. My parents deserve someone who loves and honors them to care for them....

In time, when thier time has passed and my duties as a son have been fulfilled...yes, I would move...or move someone to me. Hell, there is a gal on this site I would like to have a life with...but, there is no point even bringing it up until I can make her my world without asking her to stand a distant second behind my family.

egads.........that just depressed the crap out of me.

That is so kind to think of your parents, and don't be down on putting them before you....I believe your giving heart will be given to in return......
