I have a tattoo behind my ear and I couldn't even feel it. I went with my mum when she got a tattoo on the back of her neck. She nearly fell asleep during it, not painful at all.

I have a small green gecko behind my left ear licking the lobe. I only get positive comments. Yes, it was funky feeling when the needle was machine gunning on the base of my skull. Reverb thru my entire head.
It was worth it. |

Neck tattoos are tacky and employers don't typically allow visible tattoos/piercings.
