I am beginning to believe that Texas is the proverbial and Ozmatic “horse of a different color”

In fact I have this vision of Texas succeeding and becoming wholly Republican nation.

In my vision there would a 12 month trial period in which migration over its borders would be a two way street – allowing the new Nation State of Texas to lay claim to all like minded proponents of the GOP to establish their new home designation.

After the 12 month period the borders will be only one way – IN -NOBODY GETS BACK INTO U.S.A. without a visa, illegal immigrants will be denied housing, jobs and will be deported to their choice of MEXICO or THE NATION STATE OF TEXAS….. OYE OYE ALL IN FAVOR signify by saying - "you just go girls".
laugh unbelievable

Texas GOP Platform Advocates Criminalizing Gay Marriage, Banning Strip Clubs, Pornography

Texas Republicans recently unveiled a policy platform that includes a statement of support for legislation that would make it a felony to issue a marriage license to same-sex couples as well as for an official to perform a marriage ceremony for gay partners wishing to wed.

The 25-page proposal debuted last week as a guiding light for the state GOP over the next two years defines its position by saying:
Marriage Licenses - We support legislation that would make it a felony to issue a marriage license to a same-sex couple and for any civil official to perform a marriage ceremony for such.

The proposal from Republicans in the Lone Star state makes the following claims related to the party's view of homosexuality:
• "We believe that the practice of homosexuality tears at the fabric of society, contributes to the breakdown of the family unit, and leads to the spread of dangerous, communicable diseases."
• "Homosexual behavior is contrary to the fundamental, unchanging truths that have beenordained by God, recognized by our country's founders, and shared by the majority of Texans."
• "Homosexuality must not be presented as an acceptable "alternative" lifestyle in our public education and policy, nor should "family" be redefined to include homosexual "couples."

That was wishful thinking on your part. slaphead  laugh

We are stuck with Texas, not saying it is all bad:tongue:

The Federal government will never let any state secede. The land belongs to them.

But a horse of different color maybe right.

It sure would be refreshing to see homersexureality confined to Ca.

Hopefully, Oklahoma is still putting pressure on the Illegal since their passage a couple years ago.

I was faxing the Capital to urge Texas to follow suit back then.

Perry is a loser and Pro-Illegal.

Who do you see as a Candidate who will push deportations?

Again, what I said applies.

I want my freedoms but you can't have yours if I don't agree with them.

By the way - all you Texans, no offence - your like Christians, no two are the same.

Now that's wishful thinking.... oh - sorry did it again, all in fun of course...

or at least with as much fun as those who support the 2010 Texas GOP Platform seem to be having. Certainly they MUST be laughing about these ideas - right? If your're from Texas are you laughing? Even if you're not from Texas do you find it funny?

I always laugh when I first read these things but I soon sober and begin working to research and write those that need to hear that it is not the thing to do.

You have a job, a very worthy one, you are an advocate. Unfortunately advocacy doesn't usually pay well or often and sometimes we have to settle for small rewards for our efforts.

I present you with a small reward "YOU ARE APPRECIATED"

Aww thanks.

I don't receive any compensation other than knowing I am fighting the good fight.

My idea was better and what really should happen.

They do not have anything to be ashamed of so why leave their homes because others cannot get over themselves.
