Topic: Lets Get It On...... A Sign? | |
---|---|
I rarely listen to the radio in my car because the commercials drive me crazy. Since yesterday afternoon and 10 minutes ago (just went to the corner store for smokes) 5 times Marvin Gaye's 'Lets Get It On" was just starting when I turned the car over. Since it's a personal favorite of course I listened. Since I'm one who looks for 'signs' in all things and doesn't believe in coincidences, I'm thinking hmmmmmmmmm Is it a 'sign' or is the station just playing the song too much, or should I just go get some sleep cause I'm losing it...... |

Marvin is sneaky like that.........

Is he? hmmmmmm
That wasn't very helpful Jeff. When I saw you posted I was expecting a comment about bad planning for running myself out of smokes in the middle of the night again. Your just fool of surprises and unpredictability! |

I do what I can and yes bad planning on the smokes.........

Wasn't expecting another restless, sleepless night. Really is amazing how little sleep and food I require. I should be wicked skinny and droopy...I'm energized and 'chunky' instead.

I don't know how you run on so little sleep. I can run pretty hard but when I crash I fall out.......

Well if you ask me, I believe that those who never took a chance, never had a chance. For the record, Marvin Gaye is one of the all time great vocalists of all time. Handle your scandal. Lol.

Restlessness, edgy, nervous energy
When I meditate I can usually get to sleep, lately meditation has been challenging. Why are you up? Long nap yesterday? |

Just waiting for the world to wake up so I can get my air fixed. About ready to pizz of the neighbors and mow the grass......

Just looked at the clock..yup, it's daytime there.
Ya gotta call someone to come fix it, don't know what's wrong? |
|
|
|
I have no idea whats wrong. I called and left a message awhile ago but I am sure they are busy as hot as it has been.

What, like in the 80's? I love 85, it's perfect for me. Any hotter is too much. Ya do have all that humidity though. I didn't like that when I was back east.
Here when it's that hot, sometimes just getting in the shade helps. We may not have the humidity, but we're way high up in the sky... Is it central air? Most use a thing called a 'swamp cooler' here. I never saw them back east, I guess they don't work with the humidity. Some have central here, but most have these swamp coolers, that's what I have. I don't use it until it gets over 85. |

Never heard of a swamp cooler. This is central air. It has been in the mid to upper 90's during the day for like the last 3 weeks. I can always go down the basement. Alot cooler down there....

I had heard of them from living out here before and Montana, but never had one I had central air before.
So I pulled this up so ya can see what it is. Ya learn something new every day aye? An evaporative cooler (also swamp cooler, desert cooler, and wet air cooler) is a device that cools air through the simple evaporation of water. Evaporative cooling differs from air conditioning by refrigeration and absorptive refrigeration, which use vapor-compression or absorption refrigeration cycles. In the United States, the use of the term swamp cooler may be due to the odor of algae produced by early units.[1] Air washers and wet cooling towers use the same principles as evaporative coolers but are optimized for purposes other than cooling the air inside a building. For example, an evaporative cooler may be designed to cool coils of a large air conditioning system to increase its efficiency. Evaporative cooling is especially well suited for climates where the air is hot and humidity is low. For example, in the United States, the western/mountain states are good locations, with swamp coolers very prevalent in cities like Denver, Salt Lake City, Albuquerque, El Paso, Tucson, and Fresno where sufficient water is available. Evaporative air conditioning is also popular and well suited to the southern (temperate) part of Australia. In dry, arid climates, the installation and operating cost of an evaporative cooler can be much lower than refrigerative air conditioning, often by 80% or so. However, evaporative cooling and vapor-compression air conditioning are sometimes used in combination to yield optimal cooling results. Some evaporative coolers may also serve as humidifiers in the heating season. |

i wouldn't see a sign if someone smacked me with it. it could just be that someone at the radio station is feeling a bit randy. . . . |
