is online dating..friends..really a big issue?!

I know people who have met "the one" on this site. It happens.

Me, personally, I've met 9 people from other sites and they were all metaphorical train wrecks involving varying levels of explosives and toxic chemicals.

I think a lot depends on where you are and what you're looking for and the particular clientele of any particular site you may be using....

I love this site because there are a lot of great people here, and my friends on this site are better friends than I've ever had in real life. But I'm pretty sure I'm not going to find a girlfriend here.

actually im not expecting here alot..but to judge somebody
as hookers (yeah there are some actually) if they are in some kind of online..not even thinking she's using it..

Facebook is awesome, I'm able to keep in touch with people I haven't seen in a long time. Most of my online time is spent there.

Sometimes people's schedules keep them so busy that they don't have time to go out and meet people, and using online dating sites are helpful to them. Or they are too shy to introduce themselves to someone in person. But I don't see online dating or anything as a desperate, I find it interesting to say the least. I've met some nice people, and some interesting people. But with life, I've also met some horrible people. It all depends on who it is you meet, or something of that sort.
