i guess you guys are forgetting about china... they are the reason we lost the last war with them... now china is a nation with more of everything and more reason to use it...

China wont get involved if we go after Korea, they have to much to lose.

Just about every other country in the world is behind S. Korea on this one, if you watched the G-8 Summit Russia was the only holdout, but still condemned the attack. This is a battle China doesn't want.

Doesn't anyone know history? We didn't win or lose the Korean War, we didn't even finish it. There is just a cease fire, not an armistice or treaty, so techincally we've been in a hot war with them since 1950 and we haven't stopped. That's why the area between the countries is not a border, but a demilitarized zone.

Me personally, I'd rather see diplomatic means used to keep this war at a cease fire. The last thing we need is to be in three wars at once, our troops are spread thin enough as it is. However, I'm not concerned about China this time. We owe them too much money, and provide a great market for all the products they make. They'd be in serious trouble if we had to place an embargo to keep their goods out of American ports. Not to mention, there wouldn't be a single thing left for sale, because we make nothing in this country.

This can not be ended diplomatically with North Korea. THeir leader is insane.

Good ole Kim Jong Idiot is rattling his saber again.

I do hope he realizes that if he pushes too far, his country could very easily be turned into a sheet of glass.

Especially if his goofy azz decides to have another " practice " missile fly in our direction.

Funny...he seems to pop up when we stop paying attention to him.

Seriously ... you REALLY think that 'The UN' has the ballz to do anything if Li'l Kim lets one fly ... ? Hell, if ever there was a time when an enemy could take us out easy, THIS is that time ... EMP, actual nuke, aerosols in the subway, biochem, biological, radiation, dirty bomb ... hell, just look at what ONE envelope of white powder found on a bench does to a city now ... Sorry, but if Li'l Kim gits his 'crazy' on, 'The UN' ain't gonna do squat ... and we'll be the ones payin' for having been stupid enough to elect his sorry asss to that office. Elections have consequences ...

Dude....who said anything about the U.N.?

Certainly not me.

I was actually paying attention when word came out of Iran that the U.N. sanctions were nothing more than annoying bugs.

Dude ... Read my post again ... it's 'The UN' ... NOT 'The U.N.' ... U.N. has PERIODS indicating two separate words - I used 'UN" as in 'UN-Cola' ... or 'UN'-presidential ... or 'UN'-American ... jeez ...
