don't live for metal per se and seldom go to concerts of any kind

but I do live for music

that includes metal and I like the Deftones, and some Machinehead and Korn

Ozzy and old metal like Deep Purple, Blue Cheer - I also like some of metallica

getting ready to rip some powerman 5000

I do think the 1st Disturbed CD is one of my all time favorite cds along with White Pony which I think will become a classic

just starting (I know, I'm late) to listen to a little more metallica - other than the stuff that gets radio play that about sums it up - have a couple of Godsmack cds too that have some real good points to them. So, ya I like it unless it gets to speed based then I get bored /w it

I`ve been to a lot of concerts in my days and most of the bands you mentioned i`ve seen live and they all put on a good show. I mostly listen to metal of all types and depending on the mood im in I might listen to rock, classic rock, blues, and even some classical.

I can see how u might like classical with the traditional pinnacle and cathartic cycles - almost theatrical. I like with Deftones that they tell a story. That's something I like about Tool - Lateralus is almost like a symphony in a way as there appears to be a common thread that runs throughtout the cd. It is another cd that is a favorite. I have had people tell me that Lateralus was boring, but I find it soothing and interesting. I will put it on to relax me...b'lieve it r not. Tool is another band that is incredibly almost indescribably talented.

Seeing the Deftones live. Now there is something to consider. Digital Bath live? Goodness. rock on

I mostly do not go to the shows because of a fear of crowds, and most of my freinds who like metal are some old highschool friends who live 1000s of miles away.
