That sounds great mman...by the lake works.
I just read this again and see that we were looking in the wrong direction. We were gazing northwest...so it may have happened behind us, northeast. 
Good enough reason to go again

Check out 'Heavens Above' website.......free to open account.....you can get get sky maps for 'your sky' for any hour of the night....where the planets are, when the International space station or Shuttle will fly over head-yes you can see it without telescope or binoculars. |

No, it's not...just a couple days old. The comet will be around all through the month of June. Just that this week with the new moon it won't be so bright...the sky will be darker. You'll be able to see if in a dark field

I got to see the comet last night (wee hours of this morning) it was
f u*King awesome. It was my 3rd night of sleep deprivation and driving up the canyon and was well worth it. Anyone who dig the night sky..you have GOT to see this, I promise it will be well worth the missed sleep...fuc* sleep, this was so much cooler than sleep!!! Go see it people, we don't know when we'll get to see it like this again. wish I had a really good camera
