Topic: What do you miss? | |
---|---|
Part of me thinks that I'd still have to have some memories of a former time left, in order to miss something. However, I can tell you what I've noticed...
I've noticed that no one touches me anymore. I've noticed that I don't have anyone to talk too. I've noticed that there isn't anyone for me to do the little things for I've noticed that I never have to steal the covers back I've noticed that I eat alone. I've noticed that no one smiles at me anymore. Just some observations. |

what i most miss about a relationship is having someone around to do the home repairs. a step broke on my deck and when i went to lowe's to get some nails, i was overwhelmed at the choice - an entire aisle of nails! That's just getting even for having 738 different kinds of laundry soap. I miss not having to do the grocery shopping, lol! |

Sometimes what is missed can never be again in this life.

First, I'd like to echo RoamingOrator's well-worded reply to this question. I'm in the same boat.
I miss the anticipation, the thought of "I'm going to get to see her in 3 hours and 17 minutes." I miss walking, holding hands, talking about anything and everything or not talking at all. Communication is about so much more than words. I miss having someone to do things for. I miss the feeling of being part of a team. I miss watching bad movies and making up absurd dialogue with her, even though it might not actually be better than what's coming from the screen. I miss the phone calls and text messages and e-mails, even the silly and pointless ones....especially the silly and pointless ones. I miss the feeling of getting up in the morning and asking myself how can I make her life a little brighter, a little more fun, today. Mostly, I miss the whole idea that there is someone out there who really cares. |

I miss being a 'we', being half of a partnership, hearing a gentle snore coming from the other side of the bed. NOTE: I said gentle!!!

I guess...I miss being criticized. I know it's weird I would miss that..but I don't even get any criticism anymore of what I do.
Are there anyone who actually loves criticizing someone 24/7? Here is your chance. |

Aspen soda (goof reminded me with his coke comment) and love letters (paper ones!) What the hell was Aspen soda? Seriously. I don't remember it. I also miss Jolt cola. Ahhhhhh. The original Red Bull, except it was nothing but sugar, and it would keep you up all night. Geeks in the old days remember this drink. Haha. Paper love letters. Man. Did I write some of those back in the days. When penmanship actually was a cool thing to have. |
