They can shed at will. No matter how many times you groom them they wait. You turn you head to see what is on the tv. You bring the cup to your lips. And there it is. Cat hair clumped into your coffee. Floating there looking at you... frown they are evil spock

My cat sheds like crazy even in winter, but I've noticed certain foods do help a little. I also try to play with him often so he doesn't get bored and just lick himself for something to do.

I love brushing my cats and the hair does drive me crazy, but it is worth the unconditional lovehappy

My cat hisses at brushes. I don't brush him anyway, but when my sisters used to try, it was funny to watch.

It's a given... if it's a cat, it's plotting against you. Shedding is just part of the nefarious plan. Other parts include acting crazy when they see another cat outside the window, running in front of you as you're trying to get to the bathroom in the dark, and running across your face in the middle of the night while you're sleeping. Just what the aim of this insidious plot is has yet to be determined, but taking over the world one ball of yarn at a time seems like it might be close to the mark.

It could possibly be that your cat is a little stressed from being groomed. Cats usually shed a lot when they are stressed, anxious, scared or hot. I've seven cats total, try to imagine how much fur I have everywhere... But regardless I still love them.

This is a very widespread plot. I think
Al Queda means cat somewhere. Of my 5, one I
call the "lifer." He spends each and every day
planning on how to get on the "outside." He
cries when the door opens and closes, one more
missed opportunity. He will launch from any
position, your face, shoulders, anything you
present to him.

And smile the whole time, looking so innocent
you doubt your own sanity.

While it doesn't take a cat to make me doubt my sanity, I know what you're saying. Mine has even figured out how to open the screen door on the patio himself, so now I have to lock it!

Do NOT, I repeat, DO NOT hide the key in front of him.

I'm not really afraid of Meowgi, he just wants free roam of the house, but he and his brother bully the girls, sooo he has to stay up in my room. Now at night I have to put a box or a hamper in front of the door to block his escape.

I would get a mini cam.
Maybe he is using tools.
