The traffic is in the general community, the location based threads, not so much.

I wish I lived in the 50s and 60s when meeting people wasn't so complicated, lol

Join the forums to meet active members. As Myka said, the "General", "Coffe House", and other forums are the most popular. Look at our posting counts!

If you are just trolling the profiles to meet someone you will have little to no success. If you do check out profiles, read them so you know if you are a good match. Make sure you have a profile with good information too. It sucks wasting each other’s time only to find out weeks later there are deal breakers involved (ie, kids, smokers, drugs, etc).

Unfortunately, unless you get to know people in the forums, first contact can be ineffective. Sending nudges, emails or friend requests can be off-putting unless the member knows you. Members that are not active in the forums are usually just not active at all and won't reply to emails.

You reap what you sow. Get in the forums!
