Was on the patio soaking up some rays on my lounge chair and spotted this 'family in the making' under the grill. She will definitely be evicted when Tony returns home! I don't care if she is an expectant mother.

She looks like she just escaped from a zoo. How big is it in actual scale?

The body is the size of a large pea...I took another look and saw some 'red' on her under belly.

That is just a brown cellar spider.
They are harmless.

If it has an hour glass on the belly is is a brown variant of a black widow. brown Cellar Spiders don't have any hour glass. Most of the time Black Widows are all black but they look very much alike. There brown variant black Widows are more like Albinos.

Now how can something so small make you show so much fear and animosity? At least it isn't a bird eating spider and those get HUGE!

NOW THAT IS A SPIDER! A Goliath bird Eating Spider to be exact! In all reality it is a Tarantula and not a spider. Spiders only have eight legs like the Golden Orb Weaver above which is only about half the size of this monster.

OK .. that just made me wanna heave. I HATE HATE HATE spiders.

I love spiders.

I'm not particularly fond of spiders but I do like taking their pictures...

..that doesnt look like a brown cellar spider..it looks like a black widow (deadly)..does it have a red hour glass on its belly..the web and eggs look like a widow..be careful....

Nice pics guys! Fear, brown spiders scare me for that reason. I've seen the aftermath of one of those bites.

It may surprise you that there are a lot of men that scream like little girls when they see a jumping spider jump at them.

I hate spiders. I remember the one time there was a spider on the ceiling in my room, I had a cat staring at it intently, and I freaked out, as well as my sister. My brother ended up taking care of it... But I hate mice even more... I have a cat who catches them and brings them to me...

I also spiders! My sis and I used to name them....Yes, I know, it's crazy
