Guys need to have flowers sent to her at work... with a little card that says you were just thinking of her...
And if you travel, take the phone number of your florist... While your gone, have flowers delivered to her... That will really wow her... Go to Victoria's Secret or Frederick's... Buy her some panties, a bra or a Pretty Teddy... Wrap it yourself with a pretty bow and a nice card... Put it on her pillow, for when she gets home... Get her her favorite flower, and have that on her pillow when she gets home... Take her to her favorite restaurant, and have her favorite meal pre-ordered and ready, with your own special reserved table... Sit NEXT to her, NOT across from her... Have her walk in front of you, NOT behind you... Open her door and pull out her chair. Put on her coat first, before you put on yours... When your laying in bed, next to each other... stare into her eyes for at least a minute... holding her hand... and tell her, that it's not that she is just beautiful to you, but that you like her, you love her... but most of all, you "CHERISH" her... And make sure she knows, that you will lay down your life to protect her... and then, mean it... |

Once I was with my BF in the 'hood' where incidentally, he was comfortable & I was definitely out of my element .. a guy was eyeing my sports car (RX8) and approached me (in the driver's seat) comin' on to me, but I knew it was for the car. My a** of a BF just SAT there in the passenger seat. Not one word from him. OMG. Then he tried to explain it away later. NOT HAPPENING  No wonder I kicked him to the curb. Goodness sakes alive

Okay. I am tired of lists of how a guy should do this, or a guy should do that. Blah....blah....blah. How about we get down to the real question here. Why would a woman stay with a dude who DID NOT DO THE THINGS THAT SHE EXPECTED FROM A DUDE SHE IS WITH? If I treated a chick like an a-hole, then why in the world would she stay? There are different answers to that question, but my point is that if you want a relationship to last, when you screw up you will admit you did and you will work to get past it and fix things with your partner.
I believe that if you truly love the one you are with, that years down the road doing those things that are special won't feel "routine". You will do them simply because you love her. But generally, what happens is that after the "honeymoon" is over, and the real work begins, both men and women grow weary of it and they long for that "honeymoon" feeling again. So, avoid losing that feeling and all should be well. Goof out! |

That is a very wise and "confucian" like statement, I totally agree. That is also why it is important to drop the game-playing courtship courtseys early on, instead of dropping the bomb later on in the relationship. Establish the ground-rules and foundation as early as possible, you'll be better off for it. |

I can overrule all that.
I an bet you I could be the biggest @sshole in the universe with the meanest attitude and the ugliest face and yet I could still maintain a long-distance relationship. As long as I own a learjet or a helicopter I wouldn't have to worry about being nice and all that..otherwise point me a millionaire who has problems getting a date and signing up to dating sites.
