Okay, so since we all care here. What is everyone doing about it? What's done is done, there is going to be a very large amount of damage to oceanic life, there is no reversing it, no matter how many flowers we throw or letters we write...those fish are not coming back. Reality is a stark reminder of these things, and the reality is simply that this oil spill is going to take its toll on the ocean in heavy debts. Research is your friend, not brash assumptions. |

I agree, on top of the tole the oceans take every year from boating, over fishing, polutions, etc. etc. etc. Deal with it all the time. Hear my sisters stories everyday of boat running over sea cows and killing them or maiming them to the point of death and detioration....... And of course........My whole family lives in FL and all of them are down there and doing there part outside of their jobs. I would be too, if I lived there still. And yet may still.........No we can not prevent it, but we can try to keep it from happening again and give our oceans a chance at revival..............if we stop what we are doind and no longer allow oil production......we know what will stop it....but r powerless to do so......because of a false financial economy to make seperated classes....not existent, money in your hands worthless......just ask the South after the civil war what their printed money was worth? |

But the reality of it is that nothing will change, we know this, we have all seen it/been through it. Sorry, but the government just isn't worth all of the anger, they're really not worth much of anything actually. |

I actually disagree with you here, the anger many in effect cause more than you know, but then again, I am from the East Coast. Government and Political Science are major and I have actually picketed my sign in DC before only 2 hours away from me......I do believe in change and one is coming in a big way....... |

Sorry, Seakolony, but history as a teacher...nothing is going to change. This country has been down this road, and if anything does manage to change in a major fashion, I do not believe it will be positive change.

Political, no? No BP is private industry not governmental, therefore, non-political statement.............. However the political forums are better suited, no? I mean considering there isn't a flood of BP 'this' and BP 'that' threads in here, and yet there are literally droves of them in the political forum. Just saying, the general section isn't the target audience and if we really cared we would just head over to the bumble **** that is the politicall If U see the pics of the pelicans and other sea life and it dont bother U to the point of disgust, I guess U realy dont care about the earth!!! Awesome, this has actually degraded into what every single political topic degrades into...brash assumptions with absolutely no credible reference point. |

This country has been down this road, and if anything does manage to change in a major fashion, I do not believe it will be positive change. The Civil War changed nothing in this country, and was that caused by civilian anger? I am sure it was a mear 500-600 years ago. Do you not think this could never happen again, if push comes to shove? |

Sweet, it was moved. Continue with your assumptions people.

The civil war did not have near the technology and weapons we have today...if we do that today, we could all very well end up dead. |

British Petroleum (BP) rep Randy Prescott shrugged off the oil spill by saying, “Louisiana isn’t the only place that has shrimp.” Give him a call or shoot him an email. Tell him BP isn’t the only place that has fuel for your car! i hope our government handles this better than i think they will, NONE of this cost should come out of the tax payers |
