This is a song I wrote. I'm posting it here because it was inspired by the Moon Goddess. It's actually a song I wrote to her as a prayer in a sense. It may seem like it's written for a mortal woman, which it is, but because I'm a pantheistic witch I'm aware that all women are ultimately a manifestation of the Moon Goddess in the flesh. So in a sense, I'm asking the Moon Goddess to send me a Rainbow of Love in the form of a mortal woman. bigsmile

So anyway, I thought I'd share it here with anyone who understands this spiritual concept.

Rainbow of Love

Please won't you water me
with the raindrops of your love
Send me a potpourri
of the tenderness there-of

My spirit's dry
I don't wanna die
Please send me something even
if it's just the moisture of your sigh

My spirit's dying from a desiccated heart
My soul is crumbling and falling all apart
I need a sip of love if it's only al la carte
Please won't you send me a rainbow of love

Oh, let your love flow
like a river flowing to the sea
Oh, let your light glow
like sunlight dancing on a tree

Oh I've been thirsty for the sweetness of your kiss
My lips are withered from the kissing that I miss
I long to love you with emancipated bliss
Please won't you send me a rainbow of love

Oh, let your love flow
like the golden honey of the bees
Oh, sing a love song
with a melody that's aimed to please

My breath is parched and dry like a cloudless desert sky
My eyes are empty, I've no tears, and cannot cry
My heart belongs to you. That I can't deny.
Please won't you send me a rainbow of love

Oh, let your love flow
like an eagle gliding on a breeze
Oh, set your spirit free
and let your love flow eternally

My life's been empty for a long and lonely time
I've lived through barrenness where I almost resigned
My constant love for you has been my only crime
Please won't you send me a rainbow of love

Oh, send your to me
I'll return it to you multiplied by infinity
Oh, won't you be with me
together we can make a life of
happiness and loving harmony

~~~
I suppose you could say that. Lots of things going on here. Far too many to even attempt to mention. My studies of witchcraft have been a blessing to be sure. I never dreamed that witchcraft could be so divine. bigsmile
Of course, that's because it had always been presented to me in ways that made it just look like a bunch of baloney. I'm really thankful for the authors who have presented it in a very practical and even scientific way. And of course Penczak's Temple of Witchcraft books played a major role in lighting the way. Ironically I'm not a super fan of Penczak himself, but I do appreciate his writings, and I actually met him online and told him "Thank you" for having written his books.
I've read his entire Temple series. And I continue to re-read them and use them for reference. Of course I don't stick with just those, I use other books and authors too. But I really like his temple series as a "Foundation" for organizing the whole path.
I'm currently re-reading the Temple of High Witchcraft and the concepts of the Witches' Qabalah. Just to glean more details and to help refine some of the rituals and practices.
I'm getting back into gardening again too which really feels like "coming home" again. I'm even thinking about getting some chickens and bees again. I miss the old homesteading lifestyle I once knew.
At the other end of the spectrum, I still love technology, science, and intellectual endeavors. I've been refreshing my math skills with some new video lectures on mathematics. I just love it.
I've also set up an entire recording studio in my cottage, including a full set of drums which I've been learning how to play. laugh
I feel like a little kid starting life all over again.
I've even started setting up my old fish aquariums. I have 25 of them. I only have 6 of them set up right now. But I already have baby fish that I've bred from egg layers.
Now all I need is a companion witch. :wink:
A wicked whacky wiccan woman.
I knew there was a reason I felt the need to pop back on Mingle! I have been wondering how you are and what you are up to...and here you are to tell me! bigsmile
I am also doing some gardening. I have always done terribly with plants in the past but I approached it a little differently this time and it's going very well. I live in an apartment so I can only do container gardening, but I'm getting good results. I have a beautiful basil plant, rosemary, thyme, lavender and some purple daisies. Next year I'm going to try adding some vegetables.
Chickens and bees sound great. One day I'm going to have a little "farm" and I definitely want chickens. Not sure what else. But, definitely chickens. happy
