Ummmm.... my kids? Kinda hard to forget the exes, when there are daily reminders. :) Not that I mind, the kids are the best part of my life right now.

I've been trying to forget my ex's... Though the simple way to get me to think of an ex is having one of them contact me out of the blue... But that leads to me getting all confused. But little things makes me think of a few of them, and I am never happy when thoughts of an ex comes up... Being treated horribly in my few relationships that I've had, I'd rather not think about them... Is there any way to erase all the memories?frustrated

Sometimes a song may make me think of someone I use to spend time with.
Never parted company, anything but friends thankfully happy

Just learn from them, don't try to forget them. The memories will fade fast enough. flowerforyou

I agree, the memories and the experiences that go with them have some bearing on who you are today. Even the bad ones... if you forget them, then you may just forget the lessons you learned as well.

Definately songs for all the exes, (3 who I truly love and always will and one who was very special to me but I was too young to understand love.) I only broke up 3 weeks ago. Everything is still a reminder. He still doesn't have all his stuff out yet. Still feeding his snakes. Still getting his mail. Currently grocery shopping is the worst, loved cooking for him, got teary eyed in the store when the pork tenderloins were on sale and he wasn't here anymore for one of his favorites. Ended up buying myself a bunch of Stouffer's frozen dinners. No sense in cooking when there's nobody here to tell me how good it is.

Today is my ex-wife's birthday -- I don't even know if she's alive, but, given her history of drug abuse, it wouldn't surprise me if she wasn't around to celebrate it....

I think about them all the time, because I am friends with pretty much every guy I've ever dated. Friendship is important to me above all so I'm able to maintain even if the relationship part doesn't work out.

some things that make you think of your ex's...good or bad?

I never think of my ex's! winking

They are gone for a reason and my life moves forward. Sometimes though, if I see another couple having the same issues or I see characteristics in another guy similar to any one of my ex's, I think - *whew* “I'm am so glad I don't have to deal with THAT anymore”! laugh

Definately my kids and it makes me think good and bad. Other than that I try not to focus on it. No point in dwelling.

I just have to ask, is this because he used to do it or that is what you did with him?
