This is my second try at this, don't know what happen to the first one. I'll try to explain, sorry I don't know the right words. I move a few weeks ago and my computer was running o.k. Then it wouldn't let me on.When it first comes up,the blue screen says prepared your desktop, does this mean that it has gone all the way back to the start,do I've to set everything up again? My daugther-in-law did this,so I'm not sure how to do it. I've Windows Vista. It tells me that user profile wasn't loaded correctly,go to event log or adminstrater, let's me on temporary. Also say that Nero 7 Premium isn't compatiale with this version of windows. I don't know what this is,I didn't put it on here. At first I could downloaded music and then put it on another cd,but not anymore. I had a file of pictures, that ending in recently changed file, how do I get them back? I've all my paper-work and dics from the start, should I try to redo everything and hope I don't mess it up more or just take it to the shop. When we moved,we did get a new phone-number and got high speed internet, set up right. Oh It keeps telling me to back-up my files but when I do this, then it tells me it was a error and files weren't backed up.so I try again and again. PLEASE HELP. IN PLAIN AND SIMPLE WORDS..

Do you have a windows vista setup disk? If so you could just install it and be sure to select reinstall.

Or you could try to boot up in safe mode. Just reboot the computer and keep hitting the F8 key then select start computer in safe mode. If that works you can uninstall any program you didn't install or anything that was installed around the time it went bad.

If its vista you mine as well downgrade to WinXP or upgrade to Win7. I guess you could throw the whole thing away though.
