How about a 69 Yenko Nova? Nice car but from the badges on the fenders this isn't a 69, there are only 7 known to still exist today and only 427's were installed in the 69 models. But this could be a 70 to 72 or maybe just what is know as a clone. |

1970 AMX 4000 OMG! THAT IS A BLAST FROM THE PAST! I seen one of those YEARS ago! It was a concept car that made limited production. oddly they tended to have a lot of Ford parts in them. how about this oddity? the 69 Plymouth Datona and the 69 Dodge Challenger "Datona" Both had the same features. They were basically the same car with one exception, The Dodge had a 440 Police Interceptor. The Plymouth had the 440 hemi engine instead! |

One of my friends owns one of these. I am trying to talk him into letting me take her out for a spin. I never drove one of these before so I had better be tender with the toes on the gas peddle! 427 side oiler and all! |

The late sixties Plymouth Datona WAS a dodge Challenger RT. The Challenger RT was called a "Challenger Datona." It is the car I posted earlier with the odd tail spoiler and the nose fairing. They were built to quarter mile at Daytona. Dodge was very confusing in those days name wise. The "Valiant Charger" was a Charger built with Hypro everything and IF I REMEMBER CORRECTLY! it came with a 440 PI engine as an option but really had a 458 (460) hemi engine (I am not exactly sure, Dodge did have some strange race engines but they could have had a 442 hemi, God I can't remember the Dodge displacements! I know it didn't come with a 318!) I vaguely remember this car and it was a one year proposition. If you got one you got a serious collector car! |
