Anyone?

I thought it was kick-azz, though there were definite cheesy parts...

I really don't know what to expect from this film. I have high hopes mostly because Scott directed it. I still might wait till Blu-ray to watch it. Not sure though.

It's a different interpretation of the story and it's set as a prequel. It's PG-13, so there's no gore in the fight scenes, and there's a couple of cheesy things like the white horse carved in the ground, and the French invasion. I do agree with the local newspaper on the comment about a Normandy invasion type thing. However, it was good action, and fight scenes. The whole theatre roared and cheered when the bad guy got it. Powerful music, too.

I'm a sucker for anything Robin Hood, so I will see it. So far the two best Robin Hood films I've seen are "Robin and Marian"(with Sean Connery as Robin, and Audry Hepburn as Marian) and John Irvin's "Robin Hood" released in 1991- the same year as the Kevin Costner one(which I didn't care for) John Irvin's version is excellent(Patrick Bergin as Robin, and Uma Thurman as Marian)

I'm eagerly awaiting "Robin Hood - Ghosts of Sherwood"(with Tom Savini as the Sheriff of Nottingham)

So far the best telling of Robin Hood I've seen is the 80's British series "Robin Of Sherwood"

I saw it over the weekend, and I enjoyed it overall. But, as per usual, I'm assuming when the Blu-ray comes out it's going to be the director's cut of the film. A lot of Ridley Scott's movies get shredded to pieces for the theater, and I definitely thought there was a bigger movie underneath this one. More Max von Sydow explaining to Russell Crowe about his father, more with Marion, the French plotting was kind of rushed, etc etc....but, like I said, I still enjoyed it.

Plus, I haven't seen good 'ol Max holding a sword since The Virgin Spring (have I missed any?).

Can't say I was a fan of Men In Tights- Spaceballs was Brooks' last good movie, I think.

I thought it was a very good movie. I know a bunch of people have been disappointed. If you go see it, expect it to be different... not the same as the other Robin Hood stories.

I like it, sorta different version of what we all thought of Robin Hood. but they left to me big hint that should be sequal.. coz now it begains what be came of legend of him.. so well whatever..
