My smypathy and empathy for these murder's is the death penalty. Better than sitting in prison all there life.

I don't think all our f-ked in the head. There is allot of good out there. Just such negative things makes it seems that way for the moment. I had PTSD after my experience. Can't say all is better now. Miss her but been through my grief took years. Had to fight like hell to stay out of depression.

Actually, I believed in that long before the movie came out, it gets harder sometimes to follow than others, but it made me a much better and happier person.
It’s a wonderful fresh outlook on life, why fight the current swimming against the flow of the river, knowing that if you float with it and enjoy the scenery, you’ll get to your destination much faster and won’t be exhausted.

me too..still nice to see people such as Dyer take his teachings a step further. There are others, things I have studied if your interested. I don't post much about such things, very few interested and also leaves me open for much judgment. Everyone seems to have all the answers, me..I know there is more to learn and I am like a sponge.
We all could use more growth...

It took you 35 years to learn, yet you have parents and family loved one and friends, teacher and councillor, what do you think they were doing for the 35 years sitting on there thumbs?
We all learn different things at different times, we look at the walls surrounds our lives and yet we still throw rocks at others!
Your life is different from every other person yet you sit on you pc BS about how empathic you are?
If you can’t understand how someone can snap,
How the world can turn completely black,
How the sun can just stop being,
How empathic are you?

you sure make plenty of assumptions!
exactly how do you know me? or my upbringing? answer..YOU DONT..
i dont sit behind a pc thank you & i do genuinly feel others pain as well as their joy..so before you spout off again try thinking first and not assuming it just might make you look intelligent

Gandhi would not have reacted this way...laugh

Back on topic,
The basic point is with all the pain out there, there is good as well!
All those emotions that lead to hideous crimes are the same emotions that allow us to do great good, which should give us hope!
We look around and we see pain!
the media advertise the pain, the War, the torture and the hate, down playing greater acts of heroism, were forgetting about the stuff people do everyday that good, kind and Selfless in favour of hurt, pain and sorrow
yin and yang

Yes, there is much good...and all re-act the best way they can. Some get bitter and jaded from past experiences, some it's breaks their heart open and they learn compassion. We are all here to grow, learn, and for those who believe in karma..there are times when a karmic debt has been paid in ways we can not comprehend. It seems heartless and cruel....we all have them, we all live them and take from the experience what we take. I choose to keep my heart and mind open. I also choose not to watch the news...not to be confused with keeping my head buried in the sand.

I don't watch much of the new either. When I was growing up there would always be good news too. Not who's Tiger Woods is banging.

yes, it's better to avoid to much negativity from the media. The interfernce can linger, adding to our own which we could view as a lesson can bog down the growth process and get overwhelmed...which interferes with what can be a lesson. Too little exposure can also lead to shock and inabilty, rage, greif when things do happen so close to home. I used to think it was all karmic debt but that thought processing led me to feel worse about myself. Viewing life as lessons has opened me heart and thought and ability to see more clearly about what is happening (in my growth). Not always, mind you. Most of the growth comes after the fact- and years of digesting, studying for answers through great spritual leaders written thoughts and then the understanding -somewhatlaugh .
Horrificness is all about us, it 'appears' we are approaching a more balancing of the yingyang sort of phase of the planet..

I remember having to pull myself away from the 9-11 coverage. I was sucked in and captivated by it...that was when I realized how NOT good it was for me. The way I felt for days and days, the terribly low vibration I was sending out. Yes, we need to be aware..but dwelling on the bad and putting so much focus on it does create more of it. Some don't believe it works that way...I have done it to myself in my own life...was a tough lesson and took me a very long time to learn, still learning.

Ya get what ya think about whether ya want it or not..concept comes to mind.

Yeap the power of positive thinking life is good now. I still will always miss her. And her killer I don't think about much until a thread like this or things about the death penalty. And really during the trial I didn't have a deep hatred for him. I've never had for anything I've always push that out, the negative. But his death penalty is his punishment and I agree with it.
