Topic: Why do I always have to start the conversation? | |
---|---|
Ok, so last night I though I would back off and he messaged me first. So I think only time will tell whether or not he is indeed interested. Also, I should have said that I felt like I had to do most of the initiating, not all of it. Either way, I will continue to back down just to give him more chances to contact me to see how that goes. Not trying to play games, just trying to level the playing field. I know I am making all of this more complicated than it really is! Lol and the saga continues... Lol |

I would continue messaging him and ask if he is interested. If he is then maybe there could be more. If not then you can never have too many friends.

He would probably respond with, "I just want to take things slow. It's not you...it is me."

Just keep up the good work. Let him initiate the convos for a bit. Its not really game playing, its just how the human psyche works. We all want what we feel we cannot have or someone who's not easily accessible becomes a lot more interesting and intriguing to us. |

i would definitely back off, it should not feel like u are doing it all.. when i talk to a guy.. if i felt that way i would not anyway.. usually i cant recall who contacts who.. so its gotta be both.. cause i have felt like u before.. usually the results arent good if you do.. they may initiate a 3 word sentence if u are lucky... but it that is not your thing then dont feel badly good luck to you.. deb

Ask him straight out....Are you interested in me???? Then ask him ALL the questians you need to know the answers to.... Thats a real good start.... But when the Godfather speaks from the Jersey Shore Ya listen to him first.... Hi my old friend aka...Mikesfunfarm I'm new at this, but the direct approach seems to be the right thing to do. 1) It's not like you have to see each other in the hallway/work whatever every day 2)Typing messages as apposed to a spoken conversation gives one the time to contemplate/organize their thoughts. I think it's less stressful, you don't have to deal with awkward pauses. The whole system is based on pauses. 3)You find out where you stand, as Mom used to say "it's time to **** or get off the pot". (she was never accused of being a poet!) |

Don't play games by not talking to him to "see what happens". If you like chatting with him chat. If you don't don't. Good relationships do not start out with agendas, time limits, or "let me do this and see what happens" gamesmanship. THANK YOU!!!!!!!! |
