I noticed two problems in the sign up process.

First, when starting on the very first page with just a few pieces of information, I selected "Canada" as my country - but when I got to the second page of registration for more details, only States were available - no provinces. I had to continue on and then edit my profile to get a province listed.

The second problem is that on that second registration page the "Headline" field is auto-limited to only about 30 characters - not nearly enough to put in an actual sentence. I had to change this afterward as well by editing my profile.

These errors exist in FireFox, IE8, and Chrome.

Hi lukereimer,

Since this site is US based, that might be why it lists it the way it does. You entered the information the best way given. The province would be similar to the state

As for the headline, that is just a short eye catching title. You can input more in the blog of your profile.

Hope this helps,

Hi, lukereimer, there is a current bug in the sign up process. We are aware, and hope to have this resolved shortly. Until then, editing the profile seems to work.

Sounds good. Hopefully the headline limiter is a simple HTML attribute fix, but the country to state/province switch sounds more like PHP/database work.

Good luck!

Yellowrose - I understand all of it from a usability perspective, these just seem like clear technical issues :). E.g. The example given for the headline wouldn't even fit into the form field.
