shortly before noon a passenger on a Greyhound bus from Bangor, Me. to NYC called 911 in Portsmouth, N.H. to report a possible bomb on the bus. police surrounded the bus but did not clear the bus until 2 p.m. one passenger remained on the bus until 9 pm. 17 people were on the bus when the incident began. the driver disabled the bus from the outside. it is not clear at this time if the incident was a hostage situation, if the bomb was real, or if this situation was an act of terrorism. for more information see http://www.nytimes.com/2010/05/07/us/07bus.html
