Don't you get tired of people telling you they can't hear you or dropping calls? Every single person I talk to on an iPhone drops calls and just has shittay reception in general. Sure it's a cool device but I'm sure you all bought it first and foremost as a phone... do all the other little apps and things really make it ok to be such a shittay excuse for a phone?
I have an ipod touch so I am fully aware of the cool apps but really it's a PHONE that doesn't work very well as a PHONE!

I don't have a problem with dropped calls or people not hearing me on my iPhone. I do know that at&t reception in CA is less than stellar, but it's really good here in MD. Though, while out there, I didn't have a big problem with reception. So, my phone works great as a phone as well as being useful with all the extra features.

Well thats good! But the thing I don't get is how a lot of people out here claim their iPhone works fine but whenever I call them (landline or blackberry) I can't hear them for shlt?

Can't say, as I haven't really had that issue. Maybe it does have to do with the reception out there. Because I know some others who have at&t in CA have complained about the reception. Not sure that it's problem specific to the iPhone, though.
I had a call this morning for work and I used my vonage phone, which was having issues, so I called back in using my iPhone and everyone said it sounded much better. |

So far, my Iphone works well and I have yet to drop a call or hear people complain they can't hear me. Yes, the apps are awesome. And, AT&T reception where I live is great.

I traded my Iphone in for a HTC HD Touch 2 and its phone function is way better than the Iphone.
