Why do you think people cheat? Not whether it's right or wrong or what you would do, but why.

Being bi-polar doesn't help any. Especially if they are "self-medicated" as in drugs or alcohol. I'll never deal with another bi-polar again, I failed in trying to help the last girlfriend I had. I tried everything to make it right again, but in the end I failed, despite all my efforts.

hard to argue with that one.  Actually I'm gonna have to go with a cowardly greedy azzhole.
When someone cheats, they think they can have it all. To much of a coward to break things off with their current s/o before they venture off elsewhere. Lying and cheating just plain makes you an azzhole. |

Maybe the thrill of getting caught is what excites them.
Personally, I think cheaters are selfish and don't care about their SO's emotional well being. They are willing to break another's heart for a cheap thrill. |
