3 blasts at a southeastern asian new years celebration in Yangon Myanmar left 20 dead and 70 wounded. the government of Myanmar claims claims only 8 people were killed. the motive of the attack is not known at this time. no group claims resposibiliy for the bombing at this time. bombings in Myanmar are rare because the military government of the country controls the countury so strictly. however this is not the first attack in the country. for more informatin see http://www.cnn.com/2010/WORLD/asiapcf/04/15/myanmar.blast/index.html?hpt=Sbin

What actually goes on the country is much different from what is reported in the media. The country is mostly controlled by drug lords who pay the military to look the other way or to do their bidding. The military consists mostly of inept "border guard types with the exception of the upper echelon who are more like a privileged elite.

When I was there the drug lords would chase the legitimate citizens out of the southern parts of the country just because they didn't want anyone anywhere near where they were growing poppies, smuggling timber or gems. The people were chased into Thailand where they set up camps in the mountains. If the women are caught, they are sold into slavery in Thailand. I think the approximate count is around 200,000 women slaves.

Between the military and the drug lords, there isn't anyone else with the where with all to bomb anyone. The drug lords are probably bombing the families of rivals or the rivals themselves.

The traditional Burmese are dissappearing because of this action. I visited some in a mountain camp in Thailand.
