Redy, that journal thing is my answer to the whole problem of static
profiles. One of the issues I've had with certain sites is that people
rarely (or never) change their profiles -- so the information you're
getting may or may not be hopelessly out of date.

On a site without forums, you're basically limited to the profile as a
preliminary information-gathering tool. Most profiles are pretty
sketchy and poorly-written, anyway, and/or so blandly conformitarian
that you might as well be reading the Pizza Hut menu.

So I figured I should update mine once in awhile just to avoid that
particular issue....

You can show up on both lists! I've got a bunch of those right now....

But you will only show up once on the viewed list no matter how many
times you view that person'r profile. Your position on the list may
change, but you will still only be there once.

Bonny was doing an experiment yesterday to see if multiple viewings of
my profile would jack up the numbers, but it didn't. So it looks like
it only counts once per person, and not once per view.

But you still have to stick a quarter in the slot to make the little
divider slide up...
