Hi don306, what version of Windows are you running, or are you using a Mac?

As for your questions on the whole the greater the cameras resolution, the clearer and sharper the picture is but that can vary depending on your lighting ie. if it's too bright or too dark

A lot of people seem to like the Logitech QuickCam Pro 9000

but you better check and make sure that it is known to run under
vista premium.

cnet is a good place to read reviews of computer accessories.

If you go into your START bar at the bottom with the Windows logo on it and go into the SEARCH box, type in SYSTEM INFORMATION and it will bring up a program for you. Click on it and it will tell you what the make and model of your camera is. If you make a note and write it here, we can go from there.

As for numbers wise a 1.3 megapixel camera is your basic quality, as to say a 3.1 megapixel camera which will have greater clarity etc.
