When I left Nam I was called a baby killer and worse!!! took lots o=f drugs there that woulda put me in prison for ever if it was in the states!!! I hated war and combat but had no choice!!! We all make choices we have to live with and go on with life!!! If thats your calling sweetie go for it but please be careful!!

If you feel comfortable writing them,, feel free to do so. Just be careful with your feelings and about revealing personal information. Until you actually meet someone, you don't really know them. It's nice you're trying to bring comfort to someone who is having a hard time, everyone just wants you to be safe about it.

I am like I said before I did my research on him. He didn't kill or rape anyone, just got mixed up in the wrong crowd

My own personal opinion is that I think its the stupidest thing one could ever think of to do.They are in there for a reason and apparently if so, its bad enough for them to stay in as well.I honestly dont think ANY of them deserve someone nice on the outside to write to them.

There are many many military men and or women that would love any form of communication to the outside world.Many who actually DESERVE it.THEY give of themselves, their own lives at times, to give us and protect our freedom.Prisoners TAKE from others,in one way, shape or form.


Wether or not they got mixed up in the wrong crowd etc etc...it was still THIER decision to break the law.

Yes,I would write to guys in prison because I felt that they were alone and some of them didn't have a family.I got over 100 letters,I wrote that I was only offer my friendship,no money,no drugs,no packages at all.A lot of them didn't write back.The first one that I met was so handsome,I found out that he lied about why he was there,He had killed his father.So don't believe everything that they tell you.Also I made the mistake of using my home-addresse and this one guy came to my house,sweet talking me into letting him stayed with me.One night he took all the money out of my purse and left.So please be careful.

I keep in close contact with a life long friend that's in prison for the rest of his natural life. I've been friends with him sense we were kids and will always be his friend.

He was wrongfully found guilty of a crime that he did NOT commit. He had alot of proof that he had nothing to do with the crime, but the state would not admit ANYTHING that proved him to be innocent. He got railroaded right to a life sentence.

Yes it DOES happen, where innocent people do go to prison.

Fortunately, Texas has the Castle Doctrine in effect, so I can grab the shotgun and shoot him.

But the tire thumper I carry works nicely,(ask the feral dogs) and so does the knife.

I have no interest in writing those in prison.

Well that's a convincing argument ...making mistakes and committing crimes are two different things, please do not get them confused. (for your own well being)

Getting mixed up with the wrong people is a choice, it's not like accidentally walking into the move or something. And I am not sure your research, "The site gave you pretty much everything bout them. Name, age, birthday ect." tells you much about who this person REALLY is...

Look, befriending strangers is a risky proposition to begin with, why would you intentionally complicate it? If you have this need to reach out to others, try your local children's hospital or maybe a convalescent home where there are many people who have the same needs.

The way I see it...People in prison no matter what they did they are still human. Many have just thrown them again saying they are worthless and mean nothing.

We are ALL one bad decision away from being in the same spot!
