I don't have as much as some young thinner girls I have seen and they are thinner than me.

i aint got nothing against skinny women, some of my best friends are small, but i was just taking a shot at her cuz i felt like she took one at me lol

Oh we have men on here who love big and bigger women. We also have the opposite on here too.

fat is in the eye of the beholder and the circumstances.. for me im fat! real fat! and i am not 20 lbs over my height to weight ratio.. or less lol.. but im not comfortable.. now to see someone else m height and weight i would probably not think they are fat... i only know how i feel on the outside.. now if u are comfortable with your weight more power to you.. does it really matter what men think? or how you , yourself feel? again some see small differently than you may..the important part is being comfortable in your own skin.see.. you may see yourself as small... but others may not see what im saying? for me i dont see myself as small i see fat.. others dont but i feel it.... now this is all about my outsides.. not my insides.. i have the greatest insides if u ask me lol!

i have diabetes, and ive been living fine with it, and so are alot of other people who have it too,dont count us out so easily


My brother has diabetes; was type 2 and now type 1 because he wouldn't lose weight. He had 4 heart attacks and a stroke. That should be a wake up call to anyone with a brain in their head. I wouldn't date a man that would endanger his life because he hasn't got the common sense to stay fit. I am a large girl myself and will never be thin but I sure as hell can stay fit. I don't want to burden our health care system for something I can fix myself.

im sorry to hear that i truly am, but being fat isnt his only problem, u can be big and be healthy,people should try to help them stay healthy, rather try to entirely change who they are, and you can help your brother as well, please do that, but other people in the world need to learn to live with us and help us be healthy not lose so much weight

As for my brother there is nothing I can do for him. His doctor has told him to lose weight and he has to do that. His weight caused these problems as that came right from the doctor. If he remains overweight, he is going to die and there is nothing I can do. Its sad but its his choice.

so as a citizen from a country that provides free health care, if it's okay to overeat (yes, i know, not all obesity stems from being overweight but i bet a good bunch comes from poor dietary choices/lack of exercise) and pay for any related health issues, why are smokers and their concerns ostracized (from a health insurance point of view)?

Good point Lisa, smoking and overeating are both personal choices(excluding health reasons for obesity)and i dont see why smokers are not entitled to free relevant healthcare if ppl with obesity are?


As to fat ppl being beautiful......the body is only a shell....ppl are beautiful, no matter wat shape or size, its the beauty of the persona that shines thru ultimately.

I'm going to be the shallow jerk here and admit that big women turn me off in a big way.
I know this is a bit of a double standard with me since i'm big, but i don't like the way i look either and i'm working on it. i have friends that are larger women and we hang out and all. i don't have a problem with them as people, but when it comes to anything beyond friends, that door is closed.
the person on the inside could be beautiful, but until i'm blind my eyes will still see the shell. i can't be with a woman i'm not attracted to.
basically, i think people are attracted to what they're attracted to. fat/skinny, short/tall, it's all about preference. it's only shallow if they won't even acknowledge the people they aren't attracted to.

This is a subject that everyone will have their own opinion on. But I can say for myself, and myself alone, that I have gained alot of weight over the last few years, and NONE of it is beautiful. I am not comfortable, I am not proud, I am not happy. But I am the only one who can change it and I am making strides to lose what I've gained. I know everyone has their idea of what they do and don't like. But right now, I wouldn't be good for anyone cause I am not happy with myself. I have my friends who don't care if I stay the same or lose weight and they are my support and I love them for it. But I will say that I don't date skinny guys, they aren't attractive to me at all, I'd rather have someone heavier, just what I am attracted to.

Have you been eating all the chips that are on your shoulders?

I can find a larger woman attractive(however there is a limit!). But she would have to carry herself in the right way. I dont like fattitude!
