Hi folks,

So I see now that there were some issues with the changes we made last
night. I think I fixed one of the problems - new topics not getting
posted to the right category and instead going to General Discussion.
Topics should now be getting posted to the right category - if that's
not happening, please let me know and we'll get it fixed.

I'm also working on the main forum page getting updated correctly.
Hopefully you'll see a fix for that soon.

There was one other bug were someone was suggesting that there were
duplicate topics and posts being seen? Is anyone else seeing that? I
don't see any issue with that on my own computer, but if you guys are
seeing it, can you describe in a little more detail what's happening?
We'll make sure to get that fixed also.

If you see any other problems, please let us know. Sorry about all
these issues. Hopefully everything will be back to normal shortly.

Ther are some that were doubled, I think it was because people didnt
think it posted so they did it again. Bigpappa's was twice, with
differnt faces thou..

& Shadowdog has one about the time being too hard to figure.

Yeah thanks Catch. Definitely there were some people who were "seeing
double" because people actually were posting twice, mainly because
they'd post in another section and wouldn't see it because it had
mistakenly posted to General instead due to the bug.

So the post that you thought was deleted actually wasn't - it was just
posted on the 2nd copy of the thread.

I'm still working on the main summary page not updating correctly, and I
also hear everyone's feedback on the Pacific Standard Time stuff being
confusing. We'll see what we can do in terms of either making it more
clear or changing it back.

Does anyone see any other issues?

OK the main summary page should now be updating properly and always
reflect the most recent post.

I think that fixes all of the issues we're aware of. Is anyone else
seeing anything strange still going on on the forums? If so, please let
us know!

Living in Europe I was crashed out when all the changes took place, so
no great drama.
I just wanted to ask if you are working on the idea where someone who
posts a thread or a topic will be able to click on their profile to find
out what and where they posted something.

Mike, my thanks to you and the site for all your great work. Glitches
are inevitable, so don't worry about it.

If there were some way to list all the threads we have posted to, or
that someone else has posted to, that would be very helpful....

Hi Mike....yeah I saw it briefly right here in general discussion...Big
poppa had posted a thread with particular name (it had maybe 4 replies)
and then I saw the same thread down a couple thread names with only his
initial topic...then it disappeared!

I've just noticed that when I reply to a thread (at least in the Current
Events Category) that the thread OP has a heading "Topic Review (Newest
First):" instead of the thread title.

When I post my reply, the title reverts to the correct title.

Not a serious problem.

I just checked: the "Topic Review (Newest First):" temproary heading
shows up in other Categories and threads, too, including this one.

Yes, that's intentional. We changed the Reply function so that it shows
you the latest post first. Most of the time, when you are replying to a
topic, you're replying to the last post, so we wanted to move that post
to the top so that it was easier to see.

Also, we're working on some functions where you'll be able to see all
the threads you've posted to recently in one place, as well as see what
threads other users are posting on.

YES!!!! That is what I have been waiting for. It is so hard to remember
where a topic was or the name of it. When trying to go back and re read
a thread that one wants to bring back up.
